Chowchilla CA junior Michael Eggert won the Division 5 boys title at the CIF Central Section Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. Eggert covered the 5-kilometer course in 17:05.89, an improvement from last year's fourth-place effort of 17:37.3, to help Chowchilla place all five scorers in the top 14 to prevail by a 39-113 margin over California City.
